Stuart Little 1 720p Movies More than 10 years have passed since the release of the 1999 movie adaptation of this popular children's book series, but it still remains one of the most memorable films for millions around the world, both young and old. The novel written by E. B. White in 1945 features the story of Stuart Little, a mouse born to human parents in New York City. As he grows older, the child begins to question why he does not look like anybody else in his family. His adventures take him all around Manhattan and reveal that his true family is actually a group of mice, who were separated from Little after a car accident involving a feline family member of his adoptive family. This is certainly a story that holds up over time, as it teaches children about individuality and being true to oneself while also being fun and lighthearted enough for children to enjoy without being weighed down with overly-serious subjects. Stuart Little was adapted into a 1999 film, starring the young Macaulay Culkin as Stuart, and featuring the voices of Kevin Kline, Dakota Fanning, Catherine O'Hara and Joe Pesci. The film was generally well received by critics and viewers alike. Its balance between comedy and seriousness has made it one of the most memorable films for many people over the years. A new adaptation of the film has been released on DVD in 2015 entitled "Stuart Little 2". It features Ray Romano as Stuart's new father (with some malapropisms thrown in), with John Goodman reprised his role as Mr. Franklin. The mouse's sister, Emily, is voiced by Michael J. Fox and his adopted brother George is played by Nathan Lane. They get a new pet dog in this film, which was present in the original book but not part of the original movie adaptation. The movie also adds a new character to be seen in later movies: the French mouse Henri (who lives uptown and wears a beret), played by Fred Armisen. The basic plot of the story remains unchanged: Stuart Little has just been born to normal human parents and is beginning to explore his surroundings when he meets his biological father figure, Mr. Frederick Little (voiced by Hugh Laurie). The film shows how Stuart's biological father trained him over the course of many years to be the perfect mouse, but also taught him right from wrong. It is Mr. Frederick who explains to Stuart that he was born to a house cat, instead of being adopted as his parents had previously believed. At this time, it becomes clear that the mouse's biological mother has died. As Stuart is all alone now, his father continues to teach him about life and how he should be proud of who he is. The film ends with Stuart leaving home to begin his own adventures outside his neighborhood. Macaulay Culkin returned as the voice of Stuart Little for this adaptation, but newcomers include Michael J. cfa1e77820
